The Mona Lisa is actually quite small, and as you can see from the picture below, rather dark. It has been given it's own wall in the museum, and without a doubt, it attracts the largest crowds of anything on display in this ENORMOUS museum. It is also behind plexiglass to try to minimize the damage it suffers from being on constant display.

I took this picture yesterday (12/26) from the Place de la Concorde on our way to the Musee de l'Orangerie. On the left is the ferris wheel (which I don't remember from our visit in 2003), on the right is the obelisk in the place, and between them in the distance is the Eiffel Tower.
